Communication 1 Course – STCW A-II/1
At Sea, we often operate in a multi-language, multi-cultural environment where barriers exist when communicating with different ships from various nations. We teach learners of this course how to communicate correctly with these ships, and to make use of the International Code of Signals to overcome any problems. Maritime Communications include Morse code, Flag Signals and the Standard Marine Navigational Vocabulary. This also ensures that the learner becomes proficient in the English Language, and is thus also suitable for any crew members having difficulty with English. Learners can attend the ‘Maritime Communications Course’ before enrolling on any of the other courses.
