Learners are taught how to do the ‘primary survey’ and how to administer first aid treatments accordingly. Learners will have to demonstrate competency in CPR, Splinting, Wound Dressing, Control Bleeding and a host of additional ‘Basic First Aid Measures needed to perform the duties of the first response person in a medical emergency.
Learning Objectives: The Department of Labour prescribes that the learner should have the following knowledge and practical skills at the end of the course:
