Course Description: An Officer in Charge of Navigational Watch also referred to as a Deck Officer is assigned with the duties of watch keeping and safe navigation of the ship’s bridge. While keeping a watch on the bridge he/she is the representative of the ship’s Master and has the total responsibility for the safe and efficient navigation of the ship. This program will prepare the learner for his/her Cadetship to obtain the sea service component and eventually qualify as a Deck Officer and sail as a 4th or 3rd Officer on foreign going vessels.
Duration: Subjects at SSTG +- 10 Months | Ancillary Course +- 54 Days
Entry Requirements: Grade 12

Accreditation: Accreditation through SAMSA. STCW 78 as amended in 2010 with the Manila amendments.
