Refresher Course: Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities – STCW A-VI/1-4
Course Description: This course covers social behaviour and survival as an individual and/or group. Vessels are small platforms with a lot of different people from varying backgrounds cramped into one space. Learners need to be taught how to behave and how to deal with different scenarios found onboard modern ships, oil rigs and the like. As an Off-Shore employee, you have a responsibility to look after yourself and to ensure that you are ready to operate in a group during emergencies.

Entry Requirements: None
Additional Requirements: Bring a change of old clothes and shoes, with a towel.
Accreditation: Accreditation through SAMSA. STCW 78 as amended in 2010 with the Manila amendments. Certificate should be renewed every 5 years.
