Entry Requirements:
- Matric (Grade 12) with good English
- Must be 18 years or older

Please note: Some ships and employers require crew members to be 21 years or older.
Additional Requirements:
ENG1 Medical, not colour blind, no visible tattoos (for many yachts), excellent personal presentation, willingness to work 16-hour days during charter season.

Is this too much training for an entry-level job?
No. Yachts increasingly want multi-skilled crew. A medic who can also assist in the galley, or a stewardess who understands hospitality service, is significantly more employable.
What if I only want to be a medic and not a steward, or a chef?
Having more than one skill to be employed in is advantageous.
Can I really get a job on a superyacht?
Yes. South African crew are highly regarded. With this complete package, you meet or exceed the standard entry requirements for 90% of yacht positions.
How much can I earn?
Entry-level stewardesses typically earn €2,500–€3,500 per month tax-free, with all living expenses covered. Chefs earn significantly more. Tips on charter yachts can double seasonal income.
