Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities – STCW A-VI/1-4
Course Description: This course covers Social behaviour and safety procedures for accident prevention, and familiarizes novices with the employment conditions and working environment on board vessels. Vessels are small platforms with people from varying backgrounds cramped into one space. Learners need to be taught how to behave, and how to deal with different scenarios found onboard modern ships, oil rigs and the like.
Please note this course includes online meeting/s with the facilitator for all participants as a group towards the end of the course. These are normally scheduled between 15h00 and 17h00, but might change. Attendance is mandatory as it is a SAMSA requirement.
