The Chief Engineer < 750 KW and EOW< 750 KW do not have any entry requirements. The EOW Unlimited and full Workshop training do have the following entry requirements: Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering with Matric with Maths and Science 50% achievement or N2.

STCW Workshop Skills Training: Pneumatics

Course Description: This course is one of the practical workshop skills courses required by STCW or STCW-F counting towards your Engineering qualification at sea.

The Pneumatic and Hydraulic course is seamlessly integrated and offered as a continuous program. While hydraulics operate with fluids, pneumatic systems utilize compressed air, serving as an equally vital system in vessels’ operations. This course delivers an overview of the basics and configuration of pneumatic systems, highlighting their integration with other onboard systems. Troubleshooting and maintenance are essential components addressed within this course.

This is a practical course that we offer in our workshops to impart practical skills to deal with various scenarios onboard your vessel in preparation for your seagoing Engineering qualification.

IMPORTANT: Prices DO NOT include Personal Protective Equipment and Food when on course. These services can be provided at an additional charge.
