This is a combined course made up of the 3 modules for the Engineering Officer of the Watch under 750KW qualification:

In our Diesel workshop, there are a variety of different engine brands along with an abundance of equipment and parts. Throughout this class, students will move between stations, acquiring skills in maintenance, disassembly, servicing, fault diagnosis, and proper assembly of the different components of Diesel Engines.

In Welding, every participant is assigned their own practice station, where the instructor personally teaches Arc Welding, Brazing, Gas Cutting, Grinding, and other forms of hot work necessary for executing emergency repairs aboard the vessel.

Emphasizing Basic Workshop Safety remains a top priority, guaranteeing the safe completion of tasks within workshops. Your safety within workshop environments is paramount, and this hands-on class ensures your awareness of essential safety practices. It also introduces the learners to essential hand tools and the skill of how to use them correctly.
