Course Description: Crowd Management Training provides learners with the skills to be able to control a crowd in emergency situations on board, locate essential safety equipment and to communicate effectively with passengers to assist them on their way to the muster station. They will need to demonstrate the use of safety and emergency equipment and comply with the ship’s safety procedures…
Please note this course includes online meeting/s with the facilitator for all participants as a group towards the end of the course. These are normally scheduled between 15h00 and 17h00, but might change. Attendance is mandatory as it is a SAMSA requirement.

Overall the learner will be taught to handle crowds in emergency situations while still understanding and following the ship’s procedures and to carry out their designated duties. This course will involve demonstrations and role playing to give the students a feel for what might happen.
